A Ritual Rooted in Mayan Tradition

The Cacao Ceremony is a traditional spiritual practice with ancient roots among the peoples of Mesoamerica, such as the Mayans and Aztecs. It uses pure ceremonial cacao as a tool for connecting with the heart, fostering inner reflection, and creating a sense of unity within the group. Cacao was historically revered as a "food of the gods" and used in spiritual settings to open the heart, stimulate creativity, and bring participants closer to their emotions and deeper selves. Unlike commercial chocolate, ceremonial-grade cacao is minimally processed and retains its natural properties, believed to offer both physical and energetic benefits. The ceremony is led by a shaman in a tranquil, meditative setting. It begins with drinking a warm beverage made from ceremonial cacao, often mixed with chili or cinnamon. Participants are then guided through meditation, intention setting, and sometimes chanting or music. Duration: 1.30 - 2.00 hours Price per person: 550 MXN
